In Seattle, Washington, recent E.C. Glass High graduate Theo Woods finished third in the 800-meter run at the Brooks PR Invitational held Saturday at the University of Washington’s Husky Outdoor Track.

Woods, who is heading to Georgetown University, posted a time of 1:51.91.

AJ Green won with a time of 1:50.71, and Alex Rizzo finished second at 1:51.32.

At the New Balance Nationals Outdoor in Greensboro, North Carolina, Virginia Episcopal rising senior Daniel O’Brien finished eighth in the boys 2-mile championship at North Carolina A&T’s Irwin Belk Track.

O’Brien finished in a time of 9:16.21.

Recent Jefferson Forest graduate Gracie Jauch, who is heading to the University of Georgia, finished in a tie for 16th in the girls pole vault championship at 12 feet, 1/2 inch, and rising JF senior Patrick McCray placed 29th in the boys emerging elite 200-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 22.23 seconds.
