James David McDilda, 35, of Concord, Va., left this world on Sunday, June 2, 2019, for his heavenly home. Born on March 30, 1984, in Lynchburg, Va., James was the son of the late John David McDilda and Donna Marie McDilda Hensley. James is survived by his loving and devoted wife Stephanie; their three children, Jade, Jersey, and Jeremiah; mother, Donna Marie McDilda Hensley (David); grandparents, Mae Guill, Warren Eugene Guill (Elaine); brothers, Derick Guill (Donna), Michael McDilda (Crystal), Bryan McDilda, Shawn McDilda (Ashley); sisters, Terrie Kreman (Jack), Shannon Norgren (Darren); many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many special friends; and two special furry friends Duke and Shiloh. James was a loving and devoted husband for 14 years. He was a hard worker at any job he ever did working his way up through the ranks to supervisor or foreman. James was a father who was always there for his children. He was a big kid at heart and would always be the first one to start up a game of kickball. James had a servant's heart in all that he did by serving as a bus driver for Tree of Life Midtown, as well as being a positive Christian role model to all of those he met. James had a laugh and smile that was infectious to all those around him. A Celebration of James' life will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 11 a.m., at Tree of Life Ministries on Greenview Dr. with Pastor Nato Tunu officiating. Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family. To send condolences, please visit tharpfuneralhome.com.
