Virginia State Police have identified a man who died after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday in Nelson County.

Police said David A.H. Jordan, 41, of Dillwyn, was driving a 1997 Chevrolet S10 west on U.S. 60 when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2007 GMC Sierra head on.

The crash occurred at 12:49 p.m., less than a mile east of Allens Creek Road.

Jordan, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. The driver of the GMC, Alan E. Deane, of Gladstone, was wearing a seat belt and was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
