The Hillside Garden Club and the Lynchburg Garden Club joined together Thursday in a "flower flash" event to decorate benches at the Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center for Lynchburg essential workers, including those working in the medical industry, and patients. According to event organizer Meg Laughon, the event was inspired by Lewis Miller Designs in New York City and the flowers were donated by Fresh Market and Pharsalia Events.
