Lynchburg has published a map on its website that shows streets that potentially could flood during the ongoing inclement weather.
As of shortly after 11 a.m., streets marked on the map included the 3200-3500 blocks of Forestbrook Road, Lakeside Drive at College Lake, and 12th Street at Madison Street, among others.
The National Weather Service predicts one to three inches of rain will fall in the city through Saturday evening. The city is under a flash flood watch until 8 p.m.
The city notes that the orange markers on the map do not reflect current conditions; rather they show which streets have the potential to flood.
