Lynchburg police are investigating a report of a home invasion robbery Thursday evening.

Officers went to the 1000 block of Wiggington Road around 9:20 p.m. Thursday. The victim told police three men entered the home and demanded money, according to a news release from Lynchburg police.

The men left with cash and some personal property. No one was injured.

According to the police news release, the three suspects were described as:

  • a black man, around 5-feet-7-inches to 5-feet-8-inches tall, slender build, short hair;
  • a black man, around 5-feet-4-inches to 5-feet-5-inches tall, slender build, unknown hair style;
  • an "unknown light skinned male," around 5-feet-6-inches to 5-feet-8-inches tall, medium build, unknown hair style.

Police noted all three men wore masks of various styles and no further description is available.

"All indications are that this is an isolated incident and there does not appear to be any immediate danger to the public," police said.
