Sweet Briar College is hosting the East Coast Summer Synchro Camp for synchronized swimmers. The camp drew 38 male and female swimmers from Florida, Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania, among other states.

"It's an opportunity for smaller teams that don't get to swim with a big group of girls to do what they love with a big group of people," said founder and coach Sam Elhart, who started the camp about five years ago.

The swimmers are taught by five coaches, including former 1996 synchronized swimming Olympian Becky Dyroen-Lancer.

"The camp is a really great way to pass on the knowledge that was given to me," Dyroen-Lancer said.
