A Sweet Briar College senior has been selected as the first recipient of the Honor’s Scholar of the Year Award from the Virginia Collegiate Honors Council.
Spencer Beall is the recipient. The award is in recognition of a student that “embodies the scholarship, character, an ambition associated historically with honors students and the Virginia Collegiate Honors Council.”
Beall, who majors in French, history, and art history, with minors in medieval and Renaissance studies will graduate from Sweet Briar this May. She plans to pursue a doctorate in art history in the hopes of becoming a museum curator and researcher.
Beall received her award at the VCHC spring conference at Virginia State University the first weekend of April.
