Amherst County on July 1 launched a special button on its website's homepage that allows anyone to leave a rating and a comment about their interaction with the county.
The comment form asks three questions, one of which is on a 5-point grading scale. It also provides a comment block for further explanation. The forms are collected daily and shared with department heads. The survey is completely anonymous, according to the county.
"The initiative was created by front line employees to motivate specifically identified customer service behaviors," a news release from the county said. "It is through the public's feedback that we are able to see progression and instill an increased value in Amherst County local government. The survey form will be used to address negative behaviors, as well."
The county encourages all residents, employees, vendors and suppliers to share feedback through the survey. Visit the website at www.countyofamherst.com.
