About this time every year, I usually put together a big fall TV round-up, listing all the new shows headed our way in the coming months.
I’m a bit behind the curve this year and am honestly overwhelmed by how many new and returning series will be coming at us from all angles — both network and cable television, as well as streaming services. All the usual suspects (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon) are churning out content, and both Apple and Disney also are joining the fray with their own streaming services. Heck, I might even have to consider Facebook Watch, which has the intriguing thriller “Limetown,” starring Jessica Biel, on tap.
Just this week, an email came into my inbox touting a “handy calendar of 100+ premiere dates.”
We certainly don’t have space to list 100-plus titles, so for this column, I’m focusing on 10 new series I’m most looking forward to. If I was including returning shows, you’d also find HBO’s “The Deuce,” which returns for its third and final season on Monday, and NBC’s near-perfect “The Good Place,” which is back on Sept. 26 for its last season, something I’m still coming to terms with.
