8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Rockfish Valley Community Center, 190 Rockfish School Lane, Afton. Open to all citizens interested in the intersection of plants, pollinators, and water quality. Program will feature speakers on topics from how to attract native bees, tree and shrub selection, cost-share funding for landscape choices, and promoting soil building. Afterwards, participants will head outside for an afternoon guided tour of turf-to-native meadow conversion. Registration required and includes lunch and a copy of “Piedmont Native Plants Guide."
