» LAST TIME OUT: Liberty lost to Radford, 72-63; VMI beat Longwood, 95-72.
» LAST MEETING: VMI won 83-66 last February in Lynchburg.
» FAST BREAK: Liberty will make its final trip to Cameron Hall as a Big South rival of the Keydets, who move to the Southern Conference next season. The Flames will try to avoid their third straight 0-2 Big South start, though they played arguably the most difficult schedule of any team in the league to start conference play, facing the only two conference teams with winning non-conference records on the road. Liberty leads the Big South in scoring defense at 67.7 points allowed per game, and VMI leads the nation in scoring at 89.8 points per game. All four of VMI’s 100-point games this season came against non-Division I opponents. The Keydets scored 94 in a home win over Wright State and 95 in the rout of the Lancers on Wednesday. In eight home games, Keydets freshman QJ Peterson is averaging 25.1 points. Liberty’s last win in Lexington was a 110-102 victory on Jan. 2, 2010.
