The 10th-ranked Lynchburg College lacrosse team took advantage of a lucky bounce midway through the third quarter to grab a two-goal lead that propelled the Hornets to a crucial 11-8 victory over visiting Washington & Lee in an ODAC game Wednesday at Shellenberger Field.

Lynchburg led 5-4 with a little more than 6:30 remaining in the third when the Generals’ Garrett Paglia slammed a shot off the framework of the goal that ricocheted all the way back to midfield, where Lynchburg won the scramble for the ball.
