CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The oft used word of “excited” has circulated through the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series media tour ad nauseam. Drivers and teams see the tour as a fresh start to the season and repeatedly use the word to describe the outlook.

So imagine the refreshing use of the word “disappointment” uttered by Marcos Ambrose and his crew chief, Drew Blickensderfer, to accurately describe how both felt about the team’s performance at oval tracks last season.
