REIDSVILLE – A former Reidsville High School football player and community coach is facing charges following a Drug Enforcement Agency investigation.
According to DEA agent Wally Serniak out of Greensboro, Derek Hairston was recently arrested and is facing charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine. He was one of several individuals arrested.
Hairston was a 1992 graduate of Reidsville High School. No juveniles were involved in the investigation.
According to the Rockingham School System, Hairston was a community coach during the fall and was not actually a RCS staff member. He has no current contract for spring sports.
