Pete Warren, Former Mayor of Lynchburg

Posted: Tuesday, March 26, 2013 6:00 am

The Hill City lost a good man Friday when former Mayor Pete Warren died. Though saying only that someone was a “good man” sounds trivial, it is, rather, the highest praise one person can give another.

Mayor Warren was probably known by most Lynchburgers as a member of City Council from 1996 until 2000 and as mayor from 1998 until 2000. But those four short years as an elected public servant comprise only one chapter of a life lived in service to others.
