Lynchburg lawmakers say new judges needed

RICHMOND — The Lynchburg area needs replacement judges, even though funding for them isn’t proposed in the governor’s budget, six lawmakers said Wednesday.

Two judges are retiring and, although their case loads are higher than the state average, they aren’t as high as those of other judges whom Gov. Bob McDonnell wants to replace.
