LOVINGSTON — After three fires in four years at Linda Campbell Blackwell’s Nelson County home, including one that killed a family friend, prosecutor Anthony Martin said her explanations were not “adding up.”

The Nelson County Commonwealth’s Attorney said Wednesday in his opening remarks during the murder trial that Blackwell, 58, intentionally set the fires to collect insurance money.
