School officials discuss decisions on closings, delays

While many area student were enjoying an extra hour or two or sleep, students in Amherst and Nelson counties were in class at their regular scheduled times.

Despite snowy weather this week that delayed classes in Appomattox, Campbell and Bedford counties and Lynchburg, the roads in Nelson were “safely passable,” according to Nelson County Superintendent Roger Collins.
