In a continued show of financial support for Lynchburg College’s growing health sciences program, Centra President and CEO E.W. Tibbs gave the college the first of two $250,000 checks Monday afternoon to back a Physician Assistant program that will begin in 2015.

Monday’s gift will be used to purchase medical training equipment while the second gift — which will be given when the program receives provisional accreditation — will be used for capital expenditures.
