Liberty University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and Centra Health have signed a five-year, non-exclusive affiliation agreement securing clinical clerkships for 70 to 80 fourth-year medical students each academic year.
“We’ve had a tremendously positive reception from physicians in this community, I’m very pleased, and we’re very honored,” said Dr. Ronnie B. Martin, dean of the College of Osteopathic Medicine. The $41 million medical college is under construction off Candlers Mountain Road and is seeking accreditation. It should open in 2014.
