The Academy of Fine Arts needs to raise $16.6 million to restore its Academy of Music Theatre on Main Street, Executive Director David Jenkins said Thursday.

Jenkins announced the official launch of the fundraising campaign during a news conference, joined by downtown business and arts leaders to tout the economic and cultural impact the historic theater will have once it’s reopened.
