Liberty University discusses plans for two islands in the James River

Liberty University is moving forward with plans to convert two islands in the middle of the James River near downtown Lynchburg into athletic parks.

Treasure Island and Daniel Island, both owned by Liberty, were abandoned by the university in the 1980s after Treasure Island was ravaged by flood and fire.
