The significance of the project didn’t fully sink in until a student asked about payroll deductions. The Lynchburg College senior, in the school’s work-study program, asked a dean how to divert part of his paycheck to the fundraising campaign.
“I think that says a whole lot,” said John Eccles, Lynchburg College’s vice president, dean for student development and one of the loudest cheerleaders of LC’s campaign to raise $12 million to renovate and expand the student center.
