A 43-year-old Lynchburg man faces up to 240 years in prison after police said he threatened to bomb city schools and Lynchburg General Hospital this week.

Eight schools and the hospital received threatening calls Thursday. Two days earlier, 11 schools — most of them city elementary schools — were forced to evacuate.
