RICHMOND — Gov. Timothy M. Kaine says he considered expanding polling hours for next week’s election but has no authority to do it.
Kaine said on his call-in radio show Thursday that he expects waiting lines next Tuesday but they will be manageable. Virginia has 10,600 voting machines this year compared to 5,900 in the 2004 presidential election. And 30,000 poll workers have been hired this year, compared to 19,000 four years ago.
Kaine noted that if people stand in line for coffee at Starbucks, a small wait on Election Day isn’t unreasonable.

Timmy says “I considered expanding polling hours for next week’s election but have no authority to do it”. That’s kinda like “Slick Willie” Clinton and his statement about marijuana use. “I’ve smoked it but didn’t inhale”. What’s our illustrious governor smoking?
