Thumbs up to George and Rosemary Dawson, Sterling Wilder, Laura Munson and Stuart Fauber, all honored earlier this week by the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities for their humanitarian work in Central Virginia.
Their contributions range from decades of service to community groups and helping restore a forgotten black cemetery to working with low-income kids and volunteering in a variety of quiet, behind-the-scenes ways.
It’s because of people like the Dawsons, Fauber, Munson and Wilder that this part of the state’s a better place to live. And what’s important to note, as well, is that there are thousands more like them, just waiting for their day in the spotlight.
Congratulations, folks.
