Thumbs up to the folks taking part this spring and summer in a unique nation-wide community service project known as Bike and Build.
The national group has organized six, bike-across-the-country trips for dozens of folks who, along the way, stop to take part in various homebuilding efforts. One of the six teams was in Lynchburg earlier this week and stopped to work on a Habitat for Humanity house.
One of the bikers, who are on their way to Oregon, was Lynchburger Lee Escheroeder. Thanks, on behalf of the community, to him and his pedaling pals.
