Salvation Army kicks off Christmas campaign

Irene Goff rings a bell for the Salvation Army outside of Macy’s department store on Friday at River Ridge mall in Lynchburg. The Fourth Annual Media Mogul Contest to kick off The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign on Friday morning raised a total of $16, 754 in one hour. The campaign, which runs daily through Christmas Eve at several area locations, has a goal of raising $200,000.
