Randell Bryant, 40, died after he was ejected from his vehicle while traveling on Route 761 in Campbell County, according to Virginia State Police.

Bryant, of Spout Spring, ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected and overturned at 11:20 p.m. on Saturday.

Sgt. David Cooper of the Virginia State Police said alcohol was a factor and Bryant was not wearing a seat belt. Bryant was driving a 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck.

He was pronounced dead on the scene, Cooper said.

While no other vehicles were involved in the crash, Cooper said there was another passenger in the car who was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital.
