Lynchburg Police are searching for an armed man after four Lynchburg teenagers reported they had been robbed by a man with a revolver Tuesday night.
Lt. A. G. Martin said the teenagers, whose names were not released, were outside on Euclid Avenue in the area of Wadsworth Street when the incident happened at about 6:30.
The victims said they had been robbed by a black male, about 5 feet, 8 inches, wearing a black hat, black coat, black jeans, black shoes and a red bandana over his face.
Martin said the suspect displayed what the victims described as a revolver, and demanded that they give him money.
They also said he stole two cell phones, which were recovered beside the Lynchburg Parks and Recreation building on Grove Street. The victims said the man ran toward that area after the incident.
The Lynchburg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is handling the case, Martin said.
“We’re hoping that our evidence technician will be able to lift some prints off of the cell phones,” he said.
