The comprehensive plan has been reviewed at the board’s two most recent meetings and will likely be approved. The capital improvement plan, which outlines capital expenditures over the next five years, is also ex-pected to be discussed and approved.
Also on the agenda are a few housekeeping measures, includ-ing two budget adjustments and the appointment of three people to the Partners in Education board of directors.
The school board is also scheduled to finalize the William Marvin Bass Elementary School calendar. Bass is the only city school on an extended year schedule, meaning students attend school the standard 180 days but do so all year with only a month of summer vacation.
The proposed Bass calendar includes weeklong intersessions after each grading period and holidays that are consistent with the division-wide calendar.
