A Concord man was indicted Monday on a charge of aggravated involuntary manslaughter in the death of a Forest woman last month.
Police say Grady Hyatt, 31, was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Leslie Anne Webster as a passenger when he lost control near the intersection of Link and Hurdle Hill roads in Lynchburg just before 2 a.m. on Sept. 17.
The motorcycle ran off the right side of the road and struck a metal pole, throwing both Hyatt and Webster from the bike, according to police.
Webster, 24, died the following day at Lynchburg General Hospital.
She was an employee of Centra Health and a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Lynchburg. She is survived by her parents and a son.
