Campbell officials to hold hearings

Campbell County’s Board of Supervisors will meet today at 7 p.m. in the Haberer Building in Rustburg.

- Citizens can express their opinion on a proposed AEP substation on George Street. The special use permit was unanimously recommended with specific conditions by the planning commission.

- There will be a public hearing on the special use permit for Long Mountain Park, which is proposed in Rustburg near the intersection of Virginia 24 and Bear Creek Road. The special use permit was unanimously recommended by the planning commission in April.

- There will also be a public hearing on a special use permit for the Family Life Christian Church in Forest to open a daycare center on its new property on Smith Road. The church was formerly located in the Timbrook Square shopping center. The request was unanimously recommended by the planning commission.
