An Appomattox man accused of taking pornographic pictures of a girl under the age of 13 now faces 68 related charges, Appomattox County Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Les Fleet said Monday.

William Richard Rogopoulos, 53, was indicted by a county grand jury on one count of unlawful filming of a minor, one count of forcible sodomy, two counts of object sexual penetration, three counts of aggravated sexual battery, 15 counts of indecent liberties with a child, 13 counts of producing child pornography, 13 counts of possession of child pornography and 20 counts of contributing to the delinquency and/or abuse of a child.

Fleet said the alleged crimes took place between December and February. They ended, he said, when the girl told a female relative about the pictures.

“They found the camera and looked at some of the pictures on the card,” he said. “They contacted the sheriff’s department and the whole thing snowballed from there.”

Fleet said the pictures appear to be “a private collection only,” and that Rogopoulos didn’t send them to anyone else. He added that the girl is the only child depicted in the images.

Rogopoulos is scheduled for trial on Jan. 22 on at least one of the charges.

He is jailed in Appomattox without bond.

(Eagle Eye)... Why don’t you just come out and say what you want?

You want ALL Americans to be forced to live their lives by YOUR religious beliefs.  Could there possibly be anything less American than that?

What the heck does “patriotism” have to do with this discussion.  Oh, I get it, people not of your religion can’t be patriotic either, right?  To quote you…“How arrogant!“

And you wonder why you are all called “Fundi-mental cases”?  Go fondle some snakes and “talk in tongues”.

Cosmo Wafflefoot,
Happiness, health and sanity are not rights under The Constitution. A female may have the right to pursue happiness but to what extent? Does the mere fact that she who is pregnant and more physically and mentally developed grant her sovereignty over a baby?  How sad and tragic. Regardless of one’s age or gender the mere thought that we as humans value our individual hopes and dreams above the life of an innocent baby! How arrogant! Whether you believe in God or not the one value that holds this country together is patriotism. Selfishness such as abortion has no place if are truly to be a United nation.

Yep, our country is now so polarized by our politicians that no one can vote for a sane solution to any moral issue. We will either be killing babies or we will be forcing victims like this to have little reminders all their lives.
The politicians and power brokers in this country have made the bills before congress combine reasonable laws with pork barrel amendments. This makes all acts of congress into a bitter pill for somebody.
We need to pass the “Read the Bills Act” Here’s a link in case you never saw it before:

(notol4violence) This is a sad situation, but, since when do we execute people who are sick?  Do you think people just wake up one morning and say to themselves… “From now on I’m only going to be sexually attracted to pictures of little children.“?  Did you “decide” what YOU were attracted to sexually?
Besides, your point about… “This child has to relive this for the rest of her life.“ may soon be made into law.  If this child were old enough to get pregnant and was raped and sexually tortured, the [McCain/Palen] ticket promises that they will work to change the laws so that she will always have a nice little “reminder”.  Why?  Because God wants it that way.  According to them anyway.

Well, I’m so glad that it was only for “a private collection only”. What a relief! I bet the victim has her own “private collection” of nightmares. What a low life! This child has to relive this for the rest of her life. The death penalty should be instituted for any kind of child predator offenses. What’s jail gonna do for such a sick mind? UHHHHH. . .make it worse, only to get out and do it again.
