Brookville High School principal dies in boating accident
7 p.m. Sunday UPDATE: Longtime Brookville High School principal Jim Whorley will be remembered this week after his sudden death Saturday. The family will hold a visitation at Brookville High School in the auditorium Monday from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will also be held at the school on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the gym.
Whorley died in a boating accident while duck hunting on Buggs Island Lake in Mecklenburg County. He was with friend Terry Reid, who also died. Friends and family said hunting and fishing were among Whorley’s favorite activities.
