ACHIEVEMENTS

Appomattox

- The following Appomattox County High School students placed in the Appomattox Sr. Future Farmers of America Tractor Operating Career Development Event held in October on the Appomattox FFA Alumni Land Laboratory: Tyler Franklin, first place, Clinton Robertson, second, and Richard Mason, third. ACHS students James Hudson, Kyle Primm and Michael Williamson also competed in the event. Tyler Franklin also took first place in the 2008 HUB Future Farmers of America Federation Tractor Operating Career Development Event held recently at William Campbell High School. Franklin will represent Appomattox FFA at the Southside Area FFA contest to be held at Chatham High School.

Lynchburg

- Holy Cross Regional Catholic School student Joe Bruzek received one of eight Best Actor/Best Actress awards during the Virginia Theatre Association 2008 Conference and Competition.
