Bedford to host variety of health events
Several health-related events will be held in Bedford. They include:
—Free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, 10 a.m. to noon, today at Westlake Kroger; 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Bedford Post Office; 9 to 11 a.m., Dec. 17, at the Moneta Post Office; 9 to 11 a.m., Dec. 24, Forest Post Office.
—Breast Cancer Support Group, 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Discovery Shop, 400 Scruggs Road, Moneta.
—Man to Man Prostate Support Group, 6 p.m., Dec. 10 at Trinity Ecumenical Parish
—General Cancer Support Group, 9 a.m., Dec. 18 at Resurrection Catholic Church.
—American Red Cross Blood Drive, noon to 4 p.m., Dec. 18, Bedford Memorial Hospital Auditorium. For an appointment, call 587-3308.
—Yoga classes are offered at Bedford Memorial Hospital. There is a drop-in fee of $8 or a package of six classes for $40. To schedule and to register, call 586-2862.
Lyme/Tick disease group to meet at CVCC
The Central Virginia Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Association Support Group will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Central Virginia Community College, Campbell Building, Room 4207.
