—Ghost Tours, Sweet Briar College. The 45-minute tours that visit the favorite places for appearances by SBC founder Indiana Fletcher Williams and her daughter, Daisy, leave the college’s museum every half hour between 4 and 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Friday, Oct. 31
—The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Riverfront Skatepark, midnight, for those 18 and older, $10, prop bags $3 apiece or two for $5. Information: Visit http://www.riverfrontskatepark.com.
—Kids Karnival, Thomas Road Baptist Church, 6 to 8 p.m., Liberty University Indoor Track. This event is for kids through fifth grade, with activities that include Trunk-n-Treat, face painting, inflatables, games and a giant maze. Free. Information: call (434) 592-4289.

—Trunk or Treat, 6 to 8 p.m., Trinity Ecumenical Parish, located about one mile south of Hales Ford Bridge, Virginia 122, Moneta. Cars will be decorated for Halloween with trunks full of candy.
—Fall Harvest Party, for children 12 and under, 6 to 8 p.m., Clifford Baptist Church, 635 Fletchers Level Road, Amherst. Features games with Biblical themes, candy, refreshments, and pumpkin contest (bring own carved pumpkin).
—All Hallow’s Eve Party, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 2424 Rivermont Ave. Includes free hot dog dinner, games, prizes, candy and goodies. Call 846-3441.
—Trick or Treat at River Ridge mall, 6 to 7 p.m. Dress up in costume and trick or treat from store to store.
—Holy Ween, a family event for children in fifth grade and under, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Grace Baptist Church, 337 Lakeview Drive, Madison Heights. Features carnival games, hayrides, box maze, and candy. No charge. For information, call 846-5007.
—All Hallow’s Eve Service, meet at 5 p.m. at the Old City Cemetery Chapel. Light refreshments follow the service. For information, call 847-1465 or gravegarden.org.
—Jingling Bros. Carnival and Candy Circus, 2812 Greenview Drive, Tree of Life Ministries. Fun, food, candy, games and music shows. 5 to 9 p.m. Free.
—- Halloween Event, begins at 6 p.m. with a hot dog dinner, followed by games, cake walk and trunk or treat at Langhorne Chapel Community Church, 15777 Leesville Road, Evington. No charge.
—All Hallow’s Eve Service, at historic St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church Cemetery, 5:30 p.m. at the church, U.S. 122 (nine miles north of Bedford City).
—Trunk or Treat/Halloween Costume Party, cosponsored by Amelon United Methodist Church, Randolph Memorial Baptist Church, and Elon Baptist Church. 7 to 10 p.m. at Amelon United Methodist Church, Madison Heights. “Yoke” will provide music for the evening. No charge. For information, call 929-3200.

—Wintergreen Resort, Halloween Teen Party, for ages 13 to 17. A Halloween party including video games, costume party, prizes, scary movies and more, 7 to 11 p.m. in the Dome. Cost is $45 for the first child; $38 for each additional child from the same family. Limited to the first 60 people to sign up. Information: call (434) 325-8180.
—Goblins & Goodies, 2 to 4 p.m., Smith Mountain Lake Visitor’s Center. Features pumpkin painting, crafts, candy, stories and songs by the “Good Witch of Eastlake,” hayrides, and costume contest from 2:30 to 3 p.m. with prizes awarded by Shrek at 3:30 p.m. No charge for the event; however, regular parking fees apply.
