Is it proper, linking God with the theory of evolution and celebrating it as a special weekend- Did God instigate evolution with its cruel, unscientific, survival-of-the-fittest process- Absolutely not! Everything of God's fantastic creation exhibits the work of an intelligent, all-wise, miracle-working Creator! As the Bible says, God merely spoke things into being - and keeps all His creation "holding together" in order. (Colossians 1:16-17)

Evolutionists, following the theories of Charles Darwin, proclaim as fact that higher forms of life were gradually developed over millions of years. These forms supposedly got their start from some lifeless matter, which came into being spontaneously (as the so-called "Big Bang") when heat, light, electricity and certain chemicals got together under the right conditions by chance. The supposed progression from a single cell - plants, multi-celled vertebrates, fish, insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals - to the most highly, complex: man. All of the above, say they, came about having no Designer/Creator!

Did computers, autos, airplanes, TVs, etc., come about without planning and designing, by spontaneous generation- No, man's ideas, and geniuses were involved - and evolutionists want us to believe that the things in our universe happened by chance!

The eminent 19th century genetic scientist, Louis Pasteur, proved by his research that there can be no life without preceding life. No person has ever observed evolution going on. Darwin, himself, said, "Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely-graded, organic chain." Evolutionists have found no scientific facts to substantiate their theory. The noted evolutionist, Sir Arthur Keith, admitted, "Evolution is unproved and unprovable. We believe it because the only other alternative is special creation (by God), and that is unthinkable!" Princeton biologist, Ed Conklin, said, "The probability of life beginning by accident is comparable to the unabridged dictionary resulting from an explosion in a printing factory!"

Evolutionists can't prove their theory by the fossil record. You would need to find millions of transitional forms. The well-known French scientist and evolutionist, Lebonte du Nouy, stated in his book, "Human Destiny," "Each group, order, or family seems to be born suddenly, and we hardly ever find the forms which link them to the preceding strain ... . It is impossible to authentically connect a new group with an ancient one."

We read in Genesis that God created each living thing after its "kind." Science verifies that fossils show that the "kinds" appeared all of a sudden, transitional forms being absent - no half-dog or half-cow forms. There is change within species, i.e., different types and sizes of dogs.

Evolution scientists can't reasonably explain where life originated in the first place; neither can they tell how their evolution works. The late Dr. Henry Morris, Ph. D., founder of the Institute of Creation Research, and former head of Virginia Tech's Department of Civil Engineering stated: "Evolutionary belief is a remarkable and unexplained phenomenon. It is a belief held by most intellectuals all over the world, despite the fact that there is no real evidence for it at all. They say that there are a multitude of scientific proofs, but fail to document even one ... . The basic reason why there is no scientific evidence of evolution in either the present or the past is that the law of increasing entropy, or the second law of thermodynamics, contradicts the very premise of evolution ... . This law proves that the whole universe is running down into complete disorder."

Today's students need to know that evolution is only a theory and not factual - and that it is unprovable. They should have the opportunity to examine what "creation science" is all about. Dr. Dean Kenyon, biology professor of San Francisco State, who holds a doctorate in bio-physics from Stanford, stated his belief, "A scientifically sound creationist's view of origins is not only possible, but is to be preferred over the evolutionary view."

The late Colin Patterson, paleontologist at the British Museum of Natural History, related in a lecture in N.Y. that there "was not one thing that he knew of to be factual of evolution .... . Question is: Can you tell me anything you know about evolution that is true-" The only answer he got was dead silence!
