COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Virginia Tech is now assured of being the first 15th-place team in ACC men’s basketball history.

The short-handed Hokies led Maryland at halftime Tuesday but mustered just 18 second-half points and fell 64-47 at Comcast Center.
