Three men have been arrested and charged in the Tuesday home invasion on Halifax Road that sent the homeowner to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
Three days later, Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office deputies, investigators and crime scene technicians executed a series of search warrants in the 13000 block of Mount Cross Road, searching two houses and a vehicle for the three men suspected to be involved in the home invasion as well as evidence linking them to the crime.
» Enrique “Mosco” Alonso Hernandez, 33, of Mount Cross Road;
» Angel Hernandez, 18, last known address on Hill Creek Road, Dry Fork; and
» Johnny Ivan Hernandez, 18, last known address in Norwalk, Calif.
All were charged with:
» aggravated malicious wounding;
» breaking and entering with the intent to commit rape, robbery of murder; and
» use or display of a weapon in the commission of a felony.
In addition, Enrique Hernandez was charged with possession, transportation of firearms/concealed weapons by a convicted felon.
A news release from the sheriff’s office stated the arrests were made “without incident” and the men remain in jail pending their first court appearance.
